Our general dentistry and preventative care services are designed to keep your teeth and gums in the best possible condition for the rest of your life.
Because the majority of dental problems are 100% preventable, it's critical to act early, before minor issues become serious problems. Taking preventative measures to maintain your oral health helps to prevent decay and bacteria build-up, as well as the need for future restorative procedures and the development of oral problems. Coming in every 6 months for a cleaning/check-up can help eliminate future dental needs. Our general dentistry services include everything from routine cleanings to complex restorative treatments that improve the function and overall appearance of your smile.
Regardless of your dental needs, Beam Dental in Broken Arrow is here for you. The Beam team will work together to keep your teeth in good shape for years to come. But if your smile does need a little extra work, we'll be here to help!
When you come in for your checkup, we'll sit down with you and talk about any problems or concerns you have. Dr. Shambille will then perform a full oral exam of your face and joints before examining the inside of your mouth, which includes your lips, teeth, soft tissues, tongue, and back of your throat.
After your exam, we'll see if any X-rays are required. Digital X-rays enable us to examine regions of your mouth that aren't visible during a clinical examination. The Beam team will go over the results together and see whether any treatment is required. We'll get a game plan in place for what we need to do get you your best oral health.
While routine checkups are only about a half-hour long, new patients can expect an appointment to last about 1 hour.
Injections are never fun but at beam dental, we take pride in providing pain-free injections as we take the time to make sure it's as comfortable as possible. Injections do not have to be the reason you avoid coming to the dentist.
Tooth decay is one of the most preventable dental illnesses, but it has long-term consequences that affect people of all ages. Early intervention allows us to treat cavities while they're still small and before they lead to abscessed teeth or tooth loss.
Modern dental fillings are comprised of composite materials that are minimally invasive and bind closely to your tooth. Not only do they blend in with your smile but they also require little alteration to your tooth overall. The end result is both long-lasting and appealing.
In the majority of cases, we want to do everything we can to keep your natural teeth. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible when teeth are infected. If your teeth suffer from any of the following, you may need a dental extraction.
Deep cracks or fractures
Severely decayed
Chronic tooth pain or toothaches
Abscesses
To repair your tooth, we will use restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and root canals. Non-restorable teeth, on the other hand, are usually removed and replaced with something else. Having them extracted helps to prevent infection and consequent tooth pain.
Simple dental extractions are simple to perform. With a tiny amount of a local anesthetic, they can be comfortably completed, patients will be fully numb before any extraction. No teeth will be pulled unless you are absolutely comfortable. The only sensation you'll feel is a slight bit of pressure.
